September 2015 On 21st September, Juan Óscar from Kahle Acoustics made his first public demo of a set of parametric tools for acoustic analysis and design (Rhino3d+Grasshopper). It was within the frame of the Dutch Association for Stage Technology's Conference (VPT) at the Zuiderstrandtheater, Den Haag.
Arsonic Mons, April 2015 On the first weekend of April, Arsonic Mons — the 280-seat modular auditorium built in a former fire station — will open its doors. Alhambra, Geneva, March 2015 The early 20th century multifunctional hall, the Alhambra, in Geneva, reopened its doors on March 27th after complete renovation. It will host many different cultural events, be it pop music concerts, movie screenings or lectures. Kahle Acoustics
Reflektor, Liège, March 2015 On March 4th, the city of Liège gets a new music venue, the Reflektor. With a 600-people capacity, the venue will host the best regional and international amplified music performers. Reflektor
Philharmonie de Paris, January 2015 On January 14th the opening ceremony at the Philharmonie de Paris confirmed the venue to be the “new landmark in Paris and a great asset to the international community of musicians and music lovers”. Vevey, November 2014 After more than two years of work, the newly renovated century-old building Salle Del Castillo, in Vevey, Switzerland, opened its doors to the public on November 1st 2014, for a long weekend full of events and concerts. Lille, October 2014 On October 4th, the CECU was inaugurated by Martine Aubry, the Mayor of the city of Lille. This new centre dedicated to urban culture, be it music, street dance or street art, opened its doors with an event which gathered 300 artists (beatboxing choir, DJs, dancers and light-painters). Fall 2014, ArAc Multibook Kahle Acoustics has been invited to join a European e-learning and m-learning tool development project named the ArAc Multibook. • The aim is to offer support to the architects with key acoustic competences. This application, developed in four languages (English, French, German and Polish) will be available as of Spring 2015. 2014 — Award Yet another prize for our Stavanger Concert Hall project: the Quadrennial Award for practical excellence in design for 2014 has been awarded by the Society of Theatre Consultants – an international professional body of Theatre Consultants and Practitioners. The STC Quadrennial Award puts emphasis on “practical excellence”, as the complex and difficult task of designing buildings for performances require sensitivity to the needs of the artists, to those of the audience as well as to those of all the people working in the building. The 2014 prize was awarded to Stavanger Konserthus, Norway. 2013 — New team members
Winter, Christelle Deidda joined Kahle acoustics as personal assistant of Eckhard Kahle and administrative support for the whole team in February 2013.

Spring 2013 — Trainees Maxime Harazi from the École normale supérieure, Paris, came for an internship from March until July 2013. Maxime worked on a versatile Boundary Element Method-based programme for the detailed computation of the acoustical behaviour of two dimensional architectural structures. • Maylis Boudier from the École polytechnique, Paris, was an intern at Kahle Acoustics from April to June 2013. Her stage was dedicated to solid angle geometric analysis methods applied to 3D models of concert halls.
March 2013 Kahle Acoustics, in collaboration with Level Acoustics and Ing. Cees Mulder, has won the acoustic competition for the Spuiforum project in Den Haag. The project, designed by Neutelings Riedijk Architects, includes a 1'000-seat Dance Theatre, a Music Conservatory and a 1'500-seat Concert Hall.
Alta, February 2013 In the North Norwegian city Alta, the brand new Cathedral of the Northern Lights (nordlyskatedralen) has opened in the presence of crown princess Mette-Marit. Despite the entirely curved geometry of the church auditorium, we managed to make the acoustics work well, thanks to a good team collaboration and our in-house method to acoustically optimise concave surfaces. Lille, January 2013 After major renovation and transformation, the concert hall of Le Nouveau Siècle in Lille has reopened on 9th January 2013. The Orchestre National de Lille, resident orchestra of Le Nouveau Siècle Hall, will finally be able to play in one of the best concert halls in France.
