Opéra Théâtre Eurométropole Metz

The Metz Opera opened in 1752 and became a listed building in 1930. Its programme covers an ambitious spectrum from opera to dance and drama.

In order to keep up with one's reputation as a key regional cultural shrine embedded in a dense and challenging urban context, and to meet growing expectations of the performing arts, a thorough scan helped identifying the priorities of the renovation project focused on health and safety upgrades along with modernisation.

Kahle Acoustics involved since the brief and the program development on the Owner' side, focuses on the upgrade of the acoustics in the main opera hall (orchestra pit and back of the stage), and on the extension dedicated to rehearsal studios and workshops.
