The Bayeux Tapestry

RSHP overhauls the existing museum and extends it to better display Unesco's Memory of the World list, a 70-metre-long embroidered medieval cloth, that is The Bayeux Tapestry. RSHP will also be adding an extra outdoor “weaving” extension to the museum, housed since 1983 in the 17th-century Grand Seminary of the City of Bayeux. Conditions and showcasing of this medieval textile work-of-art tapestry will be improved in order to welcome the yearly 400 000 visitors in an unequivocally contemporary manner.

Kahle Acoustics' mission is to create different acoustic atmospheres so as to further enhance the experience throughout the visitors' journey.
